Stephanie Diane Napolitano

Dec 10, 1946 — Jul 11, 2026

Wellington, Florida

With profound sadness and immense gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Stephanie Diane Napolitano, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the age of 79.

Stephanie was born on December 10, 1946, in Astoria, Queens, New York. She eventually settled in Commack, where she spent most of her childhood and school years, forming lifelong friendships and memories that shaped the remarkable woman she would become.

At just 19 years old, Stephanie married the love of her life, Patrick Napolitano. Together, they built a marriage filled with love, resilience, and unwavering partnership until Patrick's passing eleven years ago. Side by side, they built not only a beautiful family but also a successful business, Bodies Unlimited Corporation, an auto and truck body shop in Islandia, New York. Through hard work, determination, and shared dreams, they created a legacy that reflected their commitment to one another and to everyone whose lives they touched.

Stephanie is survived by her beloved son, Ralph Michael "Robbie" Napolitano, his wife, Denise Napolitano, and her daughter, Jill Diane Winters. She was also the devoted and adoring grandmother of Nicholas Napolitano and Chelsea Romano. Stephanie had the joy of celebrating Chelsea's marriage to her loving husband, Michael Romano, and, true to form, was on the dance floor celebrating like the queen she was. During her time in Florida, she was also blessed to get to know Nicholas' long-term girlfriend, Sandy Chung, whom she welcomed with open arms, showering her with hugs, kisses, and unconditional love. Nothing brought Stephanie greater joy than spending time with her family. She loved Denise as one of her own and cherished every moment with Nicholas, Chelsea, Michael, and Sandy, loving each of them to the moon and back. She devoted herself to her family with boundless love, constant encouragement, and an unwavering belief that family should always stand together.

Stephanie was truly a star in her own right. A gifted dancer from an early age, she remained graceful and joyful on the dance floor throughout her life—even dancing into her final days. As a head cheerleader in her youth, she carried that same infectious enthusiasm wherever she went. She delighted in teaching Jill and her friends how to twirl the baton, always finding ways to inspire confidence, laughter, and fun.

She embraced life with curiosity and adventure, traveling the world and creating unforgettable experiences for her children along the way. She adored New York City, treasured Christmas at Rockefeller Center, and never missed an opportunity to marvel at the magic of the Radio City Rockettes. Those moments became cherished family traditions and lifelong memories.

Though she stood just 5 feet 2 inches tall, Stephanie's personality filled every room she entered. She was smart, adventurous, funny, elegant, artistic, generous, wonderfully stubborn, unapologetically loud when the moment called for it, fiercely independent, and undeniably feisty. She was the glue that held her family together—a true free spirit whose love knew no bounds.

One story perfectly captures who Stephanie was as a mother. When Jill forgot to complete a school reading assignment because of the language in the book, Stephanie marched into the school, underlined every inappropriate word in the text, and successfully argued her daughter's case. It was classic Stephanie—fearless, protective, and always willing to stand up for her children.

More than anything, Stephanie taught Robbie and Jill what it meant to be a family. She showed them the importance of standing up for what is right, treating every person with kindness and respect, and embracing people from every walk of life with an open heart. Those lessons became the foundation upon which they built their own lives, and they will remain her greatest legacy.

Stephanie leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories, unconditional love, and countless stories that will continue to bring smiles for generations to come. While her family grieves the tremendous loss of their mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend, they also celebrate an extraordinary woman whose strength, laughter, compassion, and adventurous spirit made the world a brighter place. Her greatest legacy lives on in the family she so fiercely loved and the values she instilled in each of them.

Those who knew Stephanie will remember not only how beautifully she danced through life, but how deeply she loved everyone fortunate enough to dance beside her.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
