Sara Maria Pasquarelli

Sara Maria Pasquarelli, 88, of Montefalcone Nel Sannio, Italy, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on April 11, 2023 in Delray Beach, FL.

Sara was born on September 30,1934 in Montefalcone Nel Sannio, Province of Campobasso, in the Molise Region of Italy to Leonardo Basile and Adele Lattanzio.

She married Giovanni Pasquarelli of Roccavivara on February 27, 1960 at Santuario Santa Maria del Canneto in Roccavivara.

Before immigrating to the United States in 1963, Sara was a professional designer and maker of knitwear, and a skilled fabric weaver who trained other young women in her craft.

When Sara came to the United States, she was a seamstress by trade, and also had a career as a casino slot booth supervisor.  Sara was an active member of Mary Help of Christians in Atlantic City, New Jersey. As a devout Catholic, she made her pilgrimage to Medugorje at the age of 83. She retired in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Sara was an excellent cook, an expert knitter and needle worker, and enjoyed nurturing her flower garden.  Sara loved cruises, playing slots, shopping, and reality TV, but nothing brought her more joy than Sunday dinner with her family.

Sara is predeceased by her son Angelo, her husband Giovanni, her parents, and her brother Giuseppe. Sara will be lovingly remembered by her brother Vincenzo, son Leonardo (Rita), daughter Angela (Jeff), daughter Giovanna, grandchildren Paulina, Christa, Max, Jake, Novi, and many adoring nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends will be received from 10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Tillman Funeral Home in West Palm Beach, Florida.  A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00am at the funeral home.
