Ronald Mayo

Ronald John Joseph Mayo, son of James McChristal Mayo and Marcelle Marie Gauthier Mayo, passed from this world into the loving arms of our Lord on Tuesday, November-19th, 2024. Born on August-12th, 1941, in Revere, Massachusetts, Ronald was the youngest of three children including his brother James and sister Margaret Therese. Ronald married the love of his life, Sheila Pearl Mugnano, on Valentine’s Day in 1987. Ronald was a long-time employee for Delta Airlines at Logan Airport where he shared his love of hockey as the manager of the Delta Employee Hockey Team.

Although always New Englanders at heart, Ronald and his bride moved to West Palm Beach, Florida where their kindred spirits started a new life together. Affectionately referred to as “The Mayor of Pine Ridge” Ronald became a great friend to many while hosting social events and cookouts. People simply gravitated towards Ronald’s irresistible charm and positive attitude even during the most difficult times of his life. He always radiated optimism and looked out for those he cherished most including his rescue cat “Lucky”. A man of few needs, yet generous of himself beyond measure, Ronald will be greatly missed but leaves this world eminently better because of his presence.
