Rodney D. Jennings closed his Play of Life on June 26, 2025. Rod was born in Bluffton, Ohio on July 10,1935. He retired from teaching choral music and theatre arts after 30 years at Mantua, Ohio, Chelmsford, Massachusetts and Northport, New York high schools. In each, he produced choral concerts and Broadway shows, such as Seventeen, The Boy Friend, Carousel and A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum. In his retirement years, he wrote and directed plays for the community surrounding his Union Congregational Church in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Rod will be laid to rest in Bluffton, Ohio among his deceased relatives and his spouse of 32 years, Philip Bruderman who passed away in August, 2020. Rod is survived by his nephew, Larry Jennings of Arizona as well as other relatives and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
