Rita K. Zabelny

Rita K. Zabelny, age 92, of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away May 21, 2023.

Rita was born in Rochester, New York to Felix and Clara Kubiak on October 31, 1930. She served as the first female Eucharistic Minister in Palm Beach County, and was a devout Catholic. Her children and grandchildren reflect that.

Rita was a communicant at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, West Palm Beach, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was President of the CCW for the Diocese of Palm Beach, and was a member of the Columbiettes.

She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Zabelny, Sr.

She will be lovingly remembered by her family, including her children, Christine Guderyon, Susan Coyle (Timothy), Laurie O'Donnell, Arthur Zabelny, Jr, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives & friends 5:00-7:00 PM Friday at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 2:00 PM Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, West Palm Beach, the Rev. Antony Pulikal celebrant.

The Rite of Committal and Entombment be be held 12:00 Noon Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach.
