Richard H. Woodman

May 11, 1929 — May 7, 2025

Deerfield Beach, Florida

Richard H. Woodman, aged 95, entered into eternal rest on May 7, 2025, just four days before turning 96. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He bravely served his country in WWII and the Korean War. Richard was a recipient of the Purple Heart and numerous other medals of valor. Throughout his life, he carried the spirit of a true patriot. He stayed a steadfast presence in the lives of those who knew him. Especially to his wife of almost 50 years and his children. In his later years, Richard was lovingly cared for by his first grandchild, Valerie, aka “his minder,” who became his steadfast companion and devoted caregiver. Their bond was one of mutual respect and love. They brought comfort and joy to each other. He is survived by his children, Trudy, Theresa, Tammy, Ricky, and Tina. He is also a proud grandfather to 21 grandkids, 24 great-grandkids, and 2 great-great-grandkids. His wisdom, strength, and warmth touched five generations, and his legacy lives on in each of them. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lee, two sons, Stephen and Harry, a grandson, Stephen, and a great-grandson, Richard Sacco Jr. Though their absence was deeply felt, he carried their memories in his heart always. Fair winds and following seas, sailor. Your duty is done, and your legacy endures. Private cremation services are in the care of Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida.
