Richard Allen Brown

Local piano and voice teacher for more than 50 years, Richard A. Brown PhD, passed away on June 18, 2026 at the age of 76. A native of Indiana and resident of Palm Springs, Dr. Brown earned several degrees including a doctorate in psychology and a doctorate in education. He held bachelor degrees from the University of Miami in both music education and music therapy as well as a master's in educational psychology. Dr. Brown worked for the Dade County school system for 23 years. Throughout the course of Dr. Brown's career, he also performed piano in and around Miami Beach and organ playing at various churches. Up until the time of his death, Dr. Brown was still teaching piano to a number of students.

Private cremation services are in the care of Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida.
