Mirtha G. Ipes

November 2, 1945 — November 18, 2022

Mirtha Gladys Ipes, daughter of Juan Bautista Almiñana and Maria Angelica Sena passed away on November 18, 2022 in Palm Springs, Florida at the age of 77.

Mirtha was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. She married her grade school sweetheart, Carlos Roberto Ipes, on May 8th, 1965. She was a loving mother of three and was preceded in death by her son, Gustavo A. Ipes. She is survived by two of her children, Carlos D. Ipes (Maria A. Ipes) and Carol Balet (Jeffrey Balet); her grandchildren, Sonia (Timothy Ploss), Andrew, Iliana, Marcos, and Gabriella; and her great grandchildren, Lily, Shay, and Tristan. Words will never be able to fully encapsulate the woman Mirtha was, but anyone who knew her would describe her as strong, fiery, brave, honest, and a true artist. Her family will miss her hands, hands that made the world’s best empanadas, milanesa and crafted intricate ceramic flowers, hands that held onto her loved ones so tight.

She was an immigrant who came to the United States in the 70's with a dream for her family. Her family was her world and she was theirs. Her smile, a smile that shone all the way to her eyes, will be missed, but her family will continue to hear her words and her lessons in their hearts - Siempre Adelante.
