In loving memory of Maurice Roland Gagnon

Maurice Roland Gagnon, 91, of Manchester New Hampshire, passed away on August 31 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born January 21, 1935, in Manchester N. H. to Ernest and Yvonne Gagnon. He lived a life of quiet strength and a steady devotion to his family. He was a cherished father (of 4), grandfather (of 9) and great grandfather (of 10).

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Anita and Lucille, and son Brian Gagnon.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Gary Gagnon (Diane), Kevin Gagnon (Michele), and Cheryl Gagnon Apicerno (Steven).

Maurice worked his entire life in the shoe manufacturing industry as an accomplished leather cutting, grading, and quality specialist. This position provided many trips abroad teaching his craft to a multitude of craftsmen.

Maurice was an enthusiastic tennis player and golfer who shared his passion for these sports with his family and friends. He fostered lifelong friendships with colleagues and teammates.

He served his country as an army reservist during the Korean War, 1954 to 1956, with an honorable release from active duty. He started his family in 1957, and thoroughly enjoyed the life and times with his four children.

During the last 15 years of his life, he created countless loving memories with his dearest friend, Alice, to which he was devoted.

A memorial service with military honors is planned for May 2027, at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, New Hampshire.
