Marvin L. McCann lived a life filled with love, kindness, generosity, compassion, and resilience. Family meant everything to him. His optimism and zest for life carried him through many difficult times. As a young child, he had to endure the death of both parents. After their deaths, he was placed with various relatives. He eventually found a loving home with his aunt and uncle. His difficulties, however, had not yet passed. Shortly thereafter, he was diagnosed with appendicitis and gangrene poisoning which almost took his life. As a young man he enlisted in the U.S. Navy for 8 years. He left to marry the love of his life, Caroline M. Celifarco. He earned a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Miami. Soon thereafter, he received his CPA certification. An eternal optimist, his motto was, "Nothing bad ever happened to me for something good always came out of it." He is predeceased by his parents, Emma McCann, Charles Davenport, Myrtle McCann, Ernest McCann, and his loving wife Caroline M. (Celifarco) McCann (Lillian). He is survived by his daughter Carol Anne Bannon, son-in-law Robert W. Bannon, and grandson Craig R. Bannon.
