It is with profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Louise Keuling, age 93, whose warmth, laughter, and endless love touched countless lives. Louise was the kind of person who brightened every room she entered. Her smile was infectious, her laughter unforgettable, and her kindness knew no limits. To know Louise was to feel welcomed, valued, and loved.
Louise was born in 1932 at Jamaica Hospital in Jamaica, New York. She spent her childhood in Middle Village, Queens, before moving to Lindenhurst, New York as a teenager. She carried throughout her life the strong values of family, friendship, hard work, and generosity.
In 1954, Louise married the love of her life, Russell Keuling. Together they built a beautiful life and family, spending many years in West Babylon, New York. Following retirement, they lived in Pennsylvania before beginning a cherished chapter as snowbirds in Florida in 1997. Louise ultimately made Florida her permanent home in 2000. Russell preceded her in death in 2008, but the love and memories they shared will always remain.
Louise was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Benita (2021), her brother, Anthony (2005), and her sister, Mariann (2009). Though their losses were deeply felt, Louise continued to carry their memories with love and grace.
Louise's work ethic was remarkable. Throughout her career she worked for the Bulova Watch Company, as a sewing machine operator, in retail sales, and later as the lead receptionist for a stockbrokerage firm in Manhattan. After moving to Florida, she continued working in an insurance office and then spent 14 years as a sales associate at Palm Beach International Airport. In true Louise fashion, she worked right up until the age of 89, making friends and brightening days wherever she went.
Family was the center of Louise's world. She was a devoted mother to Russell (Kim), Lorraine (Hal), Dianne (Kevin), and the late Benita. She was a loving grandmother to Russell Jr., Dominique, Lorraine, Kristin, Nicole, Kevin, Anthony, Kristina, and Joseph, and a proud great-grandmother to Brandon, Morgan, Noelle, Conner, Russell III, Ikkei, and Thea.
To her family and friends, Louise was the embodiment of the classic Italian grandmother. Her kitchen was always full, her door was always open, and no one ever left her home hungry. Whether she was preparing a feast, baking a favorite treat, or insisting that everyone take home leftovers, feeding people was one of the many ways she expressed her love. She had an extraordinary gift for turning strangers into friends, and friends into family. Her quick wit and her joyful spirit drew others to her wherever she went.
Louise embraced life with enthusiasm. In retirement, she enjoyed planning cruises, organizing bingo games, bocce matches, and casino bus trips for her community. She loved her weekly card games and was happiest when surrounded by loved ones, sharing stories, laughter, and good food. Her circle of friendships spanned decades, with some treasured relationships lasting more than eighty years - a testament to the loyalty, love, and connection she brought to every relationship.
The world feels a little quieter without our “Nana” in it. Her family takes comfort knowing that the love she gave so freely lives on in all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and endlessly loved.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Jude Okeke at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 345 Soth Military Trail, West Palm Beach. Following Mass, Louise will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Russell at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
