Jon V. Kallmyer

Jon V. Kallmyer, 79, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. He was born on September 30, 1946, in Cumberland, MD. Jon was a graduate of North Allegheny High School in Pittsburgh, PA and Clarion University in Clarion, PA. He worked as a grade schoolteacher in Dubois, PA and later moved to West Virginia where he was a General Manager for multiple McDonald’s Corporation locations and a graduate of Hamburger University in Chicago, IL. A new career path followed as COO of W.H. Smith USA Travel Retail which took him to Florida where he later retired. Jon was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golfing and bowling. He had a lifelong love of music and was a wonderful storyteller, sharing amusing tales of time spent with various people he met while living in Cumberland, MD, Port Huron, MI, Pittsburgh, PA, Clarksburg, WV and Florida. He was greatly loved and will be missed by many.

Proceeded in death by his parents, John V. and Ann Kallmyer and grandparents, Ed and Ruth Appel and Victor and Laura Kallmyer, and father-in-law David Masto. He is survived by his beloved wife Marianne Masto Kallmyer, daughters Shari Edelson, Karen Hepp (Nick) and son Roger L. Buckhannon, loving grandfather of Andrew and Aidan Edelson, Seth Sekora and Wyatt Hepp. He is survived by his sister Karen Kallmyer Besser and nephews T.J. Besser and Brandon Besser, mother-in-law Shirley Masto, brothers-in-law David Masto (Debra), Tony Masto (Levi), nephew Sergio Masto, Jim Mayo (Susan), nieces Katie, Sarah and nephew Chris Mayo and goddaughter Jessica Steinhilber Leech.
