Jon W. Corkan

 Jon "Corky" Wayne Corkan, 85, of Lake Worth, Florida, danced his way into the heavenly realm on December 2, 2023. Born on April 16, 1938, in Gary, Indiana, Corky was a true people person who could strike up a conversation with anyone, anytime. He had a knack for making friends and will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Survived by his loving children, Kasey Corkan, Jon Ryan Corkan, and Aundi Amateis, Corky also leaves behind a legacy of laughter and joy as the adored grandfather to his grandsons, Lincoln, Hudson, and Ashton Amateis.

Not only was Corky a master of conversation, but he also had a military side to him. He proudly served in the Army National Guard, demonstrating his unwavering dedication and commitment to his country. He knew how to handle life's battles with grace and courage. 

When Corky wasn't busy charming everyone he met, he could be found on the softball field or tearing up the dance floor. His smooth moves and killer softball skills brought smiles to faces and created memories that will last a lifetime. It's safe to say he knew how to hit it out of the park and boogie his way through life!

In honor of Corky's playful spirit, the family will receive friends at from 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2024. The celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday. The memorial will be hosted by Tillman Funeral Home in West Palm Beach, Florida, where they'll make sure Corky's final wishes are carried out with love and care.

Let's remember Jon "Corky" Wayne Corkan for the joy he brought into our lives. As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let's keep the dance alive and cherish the laughter he shared with us. Corky's spirit will forever be our guiding light, reminding us to live life to the fullest and never miss a chance to bust a move!
