Janie Susan Diamond

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janie Diamond, AKA The Nana, on August 10, 2025, at the age of 79.

Janie raised her two daughters, Gina and Julie, to be strong, independent, and thoughtful women. She was endlessly proud of her family and leaves behind a legacy of love through her four grandchildren — Heather, Jordan, Bryce, and Zachary—and her five great-grandchildren—Sunny, Deagan, Cameron, Jayson, and Jayden. She also held a special place in her heart for her son-in-law, Christopher.

Janie possessed a deep affection for dance, particularly salsa. She had a passion for teaching dance and found great joy in sharing that love with others.

Janie’s hands reached beyond her family. She helped weave together lifelong friendships for her daughters, blessing them with a circle of cherished friends—Anna, Julie, Vikki, Liz, Lisa, Beth, and many other relationships that have endured for more than 50 years.

In keeping with her wishes, no formal service will be held. Instead, Janie asked that her family and friends remember her by sharing a laugh, a dance, and a toast in celebration of her remarkable journey home. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by those who loved her.
