Janet Pollack passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on July 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and strength.
Janet was married to her devoted husband, Ken, for 62 years. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they built a life centered around family and mutual care — a bond that remained strong even when life's challenges reversed their roles.
She was the cherished mother of three children: Mara, Richard, and Hillary, and the proud grandmother of six: Ethan, Julia, Allie, Jake, Zoe and Jared. To each of them — and to so many others — she was a guiding light, always making those around her feel seen, heard, and special.
Janet dedicated much of her life to teaching, and she was beloved by her students for her nurturing spirit and unwavering belief in their potential. Her classroom was not only a place of learning but also a haven of encouragement and care.
Above all, Janet was a caretaker — for her family, her students, her friends, and especially her husband Ken, whom she supported with unshakable love. In her later years, when she was diagnosed with the devastating disease Alzheimer's, it was Ken who took on the role of caregiver, lovingly standing by her side as she had always done for him.
Janet Pollack's life was a beautiful example of quiet strength, selfless love, and enduring devotion. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
