Gloria P. Trahan, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 14, 2026. She is now reunited with her late husband, Joseph A. Trahan, whom she loved deeply and faithfully.
Gloria’s life was a beautiful testament to love, devotion, and quiet strength. A Proverbs 31 woman, she lived a life marked by love, strength, and unwavering faith. As a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and cherished grandmother, she gave of herself selflessly, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her loyalty was steadfast, her humility quiet yet profound, and her nobility evident in both word and deed. She carried herself with grace, strength, and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debra Saro and Holly Thompson; her two granddaughters, Ashley Mayr and Kelly Thompson; and her four great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride. Her family was the center of her world, and her love for them knew no bounds.
Gloria will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed beyond measure. Though we grieve her passing, we take comfort in knowing her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the love she poured out so freely. Until we meet again, we ask that she keep watch over us, shining down upon us with the same gentle care she showed in life. A good and faithful servant, she has now entered her rest. As Scripture so beautifully declares, “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all” (Proverbs 31:29).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gloria’s memory to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, honoring her compassionate spirit and lifelong devotion to helping others.
