Gilda Swift

Gilda Swift, age 78, of Greenacres, Florida passed away on April 20, 2025. Gilda was born in Castries, St. Lucia, West Indies on July 19, 1946. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Leander Swift in 2014; her parents, Renee and Hamilton Gidharry and her sister, Maureen Young. Gilda is survived by her sister, Laura Hunte; brother-in-law, Errol Hunte; nephews, John Colin Hunte and John Trevor Hunte and her nieces, Susan Hunte-Mondesir, Rebecca Swift-Tindle and April Swift; nieces-in-law and nephew-in-law, Jackie, Karen and Dexter; grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Jayda, Nicholas, Rachel, Jordan, Jason, Matthew, Justin, Morgan and Perry. Gilda is also survived by her childhood friend of many years, Denise Sepersaude as well as two other dear friends, Anthea William and Rohan James. She will be lovingly remembered by countless friends here in Florida, New York and St. Lucia.

A Memorial Service celebrated by Rev. Jacob Asiedu-Frempong will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home on Tuesday.
