Gertrude César

Gertrude César, also known as Granenan by close loved ones, aged 96, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away on March 28, 2024. She was born on October 17, 1927, in Port Au Prince, Haiti.

Gertrude was known for her vibrant and youthful spirit, always impeccably dressed with heels, jewelry, and a fresh face of powder. She was a kind, generous, and loving individual who cherished her family deeply. She was fierce and gentle in nature as she played a significant role in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a blessing that her family will always treasure.

She is survived by her sister, Odette César Bone, daughter Marie Gladys Romulus, grandchildren Daphne Declama, Yasmine Holbrook, Tamara Miller, Izekial Joseph, Esterezah Joseph and great-grandchildren Austin Bortell, Teyana Bortell, Devin Bortell, Jason Carter Holbrook, Jackson Holbrook. Great, great grand children Luna Ortega, Hector Ortega & Leo Ortega.

Gertrude was preceded in death by her father, Clemant Cesar, mother, Eunida Jean, sisters Marie Carmen Torchon, Lisette Cesar, brothers Mentor Cesar, Eduard Cesar, Marc Cesar, Joseph Cesar and Franckel Cesar.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, West Palm Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Ambrose Kadambukatt at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in West Palm Beach followed by interment at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
