Eugene Albert Joyner

Eugene Albert Joyner, a Palm Beach County Horticulturist for 35 years, was born July 10, 1946. Gene Joyner, owner and curator of Unbelievable Acres Botanic Gardens passed away on December 24, 2023. Unbelievable Acres is located in West Palm Beach, Florida and was started, designed and created by Gene in 1970 when he purchased 2 1/2 acres of pasture land from his father at his original homestead. Over the years he slowly developed his man-made rain forest.

Gene was predeceased by his parents, John & Thelma Joyner and his wife, Elaine Joyner. He is survived by his brothers, Marvin (Julie) Joyner and Robert Richard Joyner; sisters, Doris A. Joyner, Ellen Joyner and Elaine Pennewell. Gene is also survived by his nephew, Jeffrey Joyner and other family members and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Private cremation services are under the care of Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, West Palm Beach, Florida.
