Elizabeth “Liz” Stankevicius Beloved mother, friend, and superhero in spirit
Elizabeth “Liz” Stankevicius passed away peacefully on 11/12/2025 at the age of 51, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and adventure. Liz was one of those rare people who made everyone feel welcome and understood. She was a devoted mom, a loyal friend, and someone who could find the fun everywhere she went..
She was predeceased by her parents Dalia and Pablo Valdez, and her big brother, Tommy, who now welcome her with open arms.
Liz’s greatest pride and joy was her son, Mark, whom she loved beyond measure. Her devotion to him was as steadfast as any hero’s — he was her world and her greatest accomplishment. She also shared her home and heart with her beloved dogs, Lazlo and Jake, who were never far from her side.
Liz lived life with the enthusiasm of a true fan — Comic Con was her happy place, where she could revel in her love for superheroes, Supernatural, Star Wars, Snoopy and anything that let her inner geek shine. Whether she was traveling to new places, watching her favorite shows, or swapping stories with friends, Liz brought joy, creativity, and humor everywhere she went.
Liz was passionate about her work with children with special needs. Liz touched countless lives throughout her career. She started as a teacher and later became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, helping children and families with patience, humor, and an unwavering belief in every child’s potential.
She loved to learn and was proud to have earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees — and even started working toward her Ph.D. because she believed there was always more to discover.
Those who knew Liz will remember her for her kindness, quick wit, and her ability to make everyone feel seen. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, colleagues, students, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Liz’s life will be held on December 7th at 3:00 P.M. at Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana - 5423 Lake Ave. West Palm Beach, Fl. 33405. In honor of her memory, attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite superhero shirt or something that makes them smile — just as Liz would have wanted.
“May the Force be with you, Liz — always.”
