Elaine Jadine Smith Melvin, age 60, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away on May 18, 2026. Elaine was born in Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas on June 2, 1965. She was predeceased by her mother, Louise Emily Rebecca Thompsn and her brother, Robin Thompson. Elaine is survived by her father, Sylvanus Thompson; brother, Randy Thompson; sisters-in-law, Myrina Thompson and Dedrigh Thompson; cousin, Sharon E. Smith; nieces, Randika Thompson, Felicia Thompson, Randelle Thompson and Denae Thompson; nephews, Tiajh Thompson, Trevon Thompson, Randy Thompson, Jr. and Brandon Thompson; grand nieces, Nakiyah Saunders, Nayara Saunders, Cimane Thompson and Rannyah Thompson; grand nephew, Devon Rolle. Elaine will be lovingly remembered by many other relatives and countless friends who will miss her dearly.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated by Pastor Kendrick Ferguson at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 22, 2026 at Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home on Saturday.
