Dudley Daniels Dumaine

January 30, 1950 — December 26, 2025

West Palm Beach, Florida

Dudley Daniels “Dan” Dumaine, affectionately known as Daniel and Buppa, was called home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2025. A faithful servant of God, Dudley was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was marked by courage, honor, and selfless service to others.

Dan proudly served his country as a United States Marine. Following his military service, and throughout his life as a New Hampshire resident, he continued a steadfast commitment to serving others. He worked as a decorated police officer in Keene and Troy, served as a Deputy Sheriff for Cheshire County, and was a member of the Connecticut River Valley Underwater Rescue Team. He was also a beloved coach for many youth sports teams across Cheshire County.

Dan later served as an investigator with the New Hampshire Public Defender’s Office before founding Dumaine Private Investigations. He also represented his community as a State Representative of Rockingham County for nearly a decade. Throughout his many years of service, he earned the respect of colleagues and the trust of the community through his unwavering commitment to justice and leadership defined by strength, compassion, and integrity.

Above all, Dudley loved the Lord and sought to live according to his faith. A giver by nature, he lived by the words of Acts 20:35, believing that “it is more blessed to give than to receive,” and embodied Micah 6:8: “to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” His faith shaped the way he served, led, and loved.

Dudley’s earthly race is finished, he now rejoices in the sight of the Lord he loved and served. While we mourn his passing, we do so with hope, trusting in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his love, his service, and his faithful trust in God. Throughout his life, he never wavered in sharing the greatest truth he knew: “Jesus loves you.”

Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kathleen (Adamson) Dumaine; his children: Robyn Wilbur (Kyle Parent) of North Monmouth, ME; Hollie Bostwick (Paul) of Keene, NH; Jason Dumaine (Bonnie) of Hershey, PA; Rebecca Spillane (Noel) of Port St. Lucie, FL; Raette Cerasuolo (Cameron) of Wittmann, AZ; and Jared Dumaine of Paola, KS. He is also survived by his siblings: Vera Baker (George) of Ruskin, FL; Thomas Dumaine (Joyce) of Greenfield, NH; and Deborah Dumaine Goldberg (Toivo “Chicky”) of Manchester, NH; along with 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederic C. Dumaine III and Millicent Livingston Dumaine.

Dudley’s family will hold celebrations of life in both Florida and New Hampshire. The first will be held on January 7, 2026, at Tillman Funeral Home in West Palm Beach, with interment to follow at the South Florida National Cemetery. Details for the New Hampshire celebration will be announced here as they become available.
