West Palm Beach, Florida

Douglas Blackwood Walker Jr, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and patriarch to all our family, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in Connecticut and a longtime resident of West Palm Beach, Florida and part time resident of Boone, North Carolina, Doug is remembered for his love of family and faithful loyalty to his friends. As his passing was shared, many stories emerged of his kindness and devotion to others. He loved his people and he was loved!

Born January 21, 1938, he married the love of his life, Judith, on Dec 7, 1963 and were blessed with 61 years of marriage. Douglas was the proud father of Lisa and Michael; father in law to Glenn; grandfather to Conor and Tyler.

He found happiness in every chapter of his life. He served in the US Army post Korean War and was proud of his service. His career spanned many decades as a plumber. He enjoyed travelling to North Carolina and eventually bought a family home in the mountains. Our family cherishes so many happy memories that were created in that special place. He will be remembered for his love of his family and always as our protector. He loved life and made friends anywhere he went.

He will be remembered with love, missed deeply, and cherished always. Rest in Heavenly peace.
