Jonestown, Texas

David Cole Ramer, 59, of Jonestown, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025 in Delray Beach, Florida. Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, on February 28, 1966, David was the beloved son of the late Colonel Richard L. Ramer and surviving mother Margaret G. Ramer. David is also survived by his wife of 31 years Gina L. Ramer, his sister Rebecca L. Ramer, and numerous extended family and friends.

David graduated in 1984 from Judson High School in Converse, Texas and subsequently attended Angelo State University in San Angelo,Texas. He built a successful 30-year career in the beer and beverage industry with Standard Sales Company, L.P. David performed nearly every sales and delivery function within the company and retired as a Managing Partner and Executive Vice President.

Coming from a military family background, David took great pride in being a long-time supporter of the U.S. Air Force Academy and specifically served on the Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation (AFAAC) Board of Directors since 2016. He wholeheartedly believed in supporting and producing leaders of strength and character to serve our Nation.

David enjoyed life to the fullest and will be remembered for his methodical way of thinking, friendly smile, and dry sense of humor. He was never in a hurry and always made a point to tell people to slow down. David never met a stranger and would invariably bump into someone he recognized halfway around the world.

He loved spending time in Florida and as an avid boater, David thoroughly relished being out on the open ocean soaking up the blue seas, sunshine, and fresh air. He traveled the world with his wife and cherished multiple visits to his favorite place, Monaco. He loved cars and made a point to attend as many Formula One races as possible during his international adventures. His retirement years were filled with exciting stories and memories reflecting his mantra “If you can’t have fun, stay home”. Those who knew David will remember him as a loyal friend who lived with no regrets.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Universal City, Texas on July 27, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The David Ramer Memorial Fund honoring his commitment to Air Force Academy Athletics. We encourage you to post fond memories and pictures using the online Guest Book.
