Daniel T. Scafati, Jr.

Daniel T. “Danny” Scafati, Jr., 82, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025. Born on October 29, 1942, Danny was predeceased by his parents and by the love of his life, his wife of 49 years, Theresa “Terry” (Jankowski) Scafati.

He is survived by his brothers, Albert (Joanne) Scafati and Joseph Scafati, as well as several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Danny worked as a pipeline welder for Southern Connecticut Gas Company, where he dedicated many years of hard work before retiring to Florida. A proud founder and former President of the New Haven Senior Hockey League, he played a key role in fostering a sense of community and love for the game among local athletes.

An avid sports fan, Danny rooted passionately for the New York Rangers and New York Yankees. Beyond sports, he had an incredible love for all things Disney—immersing himself in its history and building an impressive collection of memorabilia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Jude Okeke at 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Holy Name of Jesus Church in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Arrangements are in the care of Tillman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation in Danny's honor.
