Cassie Mae Mobley

Cassie Mae Mobley, 73, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on June 13, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born on August 29, 1952, in Stuart, FL, to Archie and Bernice Mobley, both lifelong Florida natives.

Cassie grew up in a single-wide trailer with her six siblings and learned early the value of hard work and family. She worked in landscape and lawn maintenance and cleaned houses. She took great pride in maintaining her own property throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents Archie and Bernice Mobley, her brother Johnny Mobley, and by her better half Annette Henderson “Shorty,” who was a second mother to her son Jimmy and helped raise him. She is survived by her son James (Jimmy) Mobley and his wife Anna; her grandchildren Jake, Cooper, and Hudson (making them fourth-generation native Floridians); her brothers Herby, Bobby, and Billy Joe and her sisters Archie (and daughter Natalie) and Suzann (and husband Jojo), and numerous step daughters, great nieces and nephews.

Cassie was known for her modest, protective, and giving spirit. She loved fishing, yard sales, spending time with friends and family, and hosting lively parties and backyard BBQs. She and Shorty created many cherished memories taking young Jimmy fishing and camping in their custom school bus camper. In her later years, she was baptized at Family Church Downtown and found joy and friendship in Christ and in that community.

A celebration of life BBQ will be held at a later time near Sand Sprit Marina in Stuart, where her ashes will be spread alongside those of her parents and brother.
