Brandon Christopher Otto (1974-2025)

Brandon Christopher Otto, 51, passed away unexpectedly in his home in West Palm Beach, Florida on November 23, 2025, from natural causes.

Born on May 10, 1974, Brandon was a hard worker known for his loyalty and dependability. He was a man who loved cars and fitness. People often recognized him by his quiet strength and peaceful spirit. He practiced meditation and was a man who always thought before he spoke, offering great advice to those around him.

A Devoted Father

Brandon was a truly devoted and loving father who always put his son Malcolm’s wants and needs before his own. His greatest joy was watching Malcolm grow, and he was thrilled to see Malcolm inherit his distinctive laugh.

They shared special traditions that Malcolm will cherish, spending Thanksgiving Day at Busch Gardens and Christmases at Legoland or Universal. Brandon prioritized his son's happiness above all else; a favorite memory from Malcolm's preschool years was when Brandon let him wear his too-small Ninja Turtle pajamas to school simply because it brought him joy.

Brandon, who held a Black Belt in Taekwondo, shared his passion for martial arts with Malcolm, introducing him to the discipline in his early years. More recently, they bonded over boxing; Brandon often joked during their sparring sessions that Malcolm was so skilled that it felt like he was "fighting two people."

Living Amends

Beyond his physical pursuits, Brandon was a beacon of experience, strength, and hope. He took pride in his long-term sobriety and believed deeply in the concept of "Living Amends"—striving every day to be a better person through his actions. He worked tirelessly to conquer his own childhood monsters, refusing to allow Malcolm to experience anything but love. He was intentional about creating a peaceful loving home where his son always felt safe and cared for.

Survivors

Brandon is survived by his beloved son, Malcolm; his closest friend and the mother of his child, Karen Rollins; and his mother, Linda Otto. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunt, Dianne Jenkins; his uncle, Gerald Strohmenger; and his cousin, Jacqueline Rose Strohmenger. He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Otto, who passed in 2024.
