Billie Raye Phillips, 84, of Lantana, passed away on Wednesday, May 22nd, at Hamlin Place Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of Gail W. Phillips, who preceded her in death in 2019, after sharing 63 years of marriage together. Billie Raye dedicated her life to nurturing their five children while Gail served actively in the US Navy on Submarines.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Billie Raye was the daughter of the late William A. Tucker and Ruth Morrison. She found fulfillment in her roles as a secretary at Kings Academy and South American Missions. After accepting Jesus  as her   Lord and Savior, Billie Raye became a source of spiritual guidance to her family and shared her love of the scriptures through numerous Bible studies she led over the years. Her devotion to the Lord was evident in her daily life, as she cherished moments spent with her family and friends, always sharing the joy of her faith with others.

In addition to her husband, Billie Raye was preceded in death by her son, John Phillips, in 2017. She is survived by her four children: David A. Phillips and his wife Cynthia of Lake Okeechobee, Donagale Stevens of Greenacres, Elizabeth Thompson and her husband Chris of Lantana, and Jennifer Phillips of Lake Worth. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Kyle Phillips, Colin Phillips, and Lauren Maher, as well as three great-grandchildren, Grace Phillips, Charli Phillips, and Brooke Maher. Billie Raye will be fondly remembered by her dear sister, Penny Hoagland, and her husband Carl, along with other family members and countless friends who were touched by her kindness and caring nature.
