Arthur William Carlson, aged 72, passed away unexpectedly on June 21, 2024. A native of Queens, NY, he later made his home in Elizabeth, NJ where he met his wife of 52 years. Before moving to Florida eight years ago to enjoy their retirement in the sun, they called Toms River their home. Arthur was a devoted fan of the Miami Dolphins and NY Mets since birth, even recording every game. He was predeceased by his mother, Anne Glansman, and father, Arthur William Carlson. He is survived by his wife, Carol Dillman Carlson, and their children, Michelle Neveling (John Neveling), Rosemary Riddle (Chris Riddle), Dawn Terrell, Raymond Carlson (Nicole Carlson), Erica Cirillo (Joseph Cirillo), Denise Weeden (Michael Weeden), and 18 grandchildren, Ray, Johnny, Joseph, Cody, Brody, Bradley, Christopher, Leigha, Brooke, Madison, Kristianna, Ava, Alexa, Kaci, Hannah, Isabella, Danielle, Samantha. Additionally, he leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Kaylyn and Adalyn, as well as his favorite Sister-in-law Rosemary Dillman, friends in NJ and at Dorchester in FL.
A memorial for Arthur Carlson will be held on July 28th at 12:30pm at Huddy Park In Toms River (39 E. Water Street). The family invites you to join them at the celebration of Life after the services. The location of the Celebration of Life will be at 1006 Sheila Drive Toms River NJ 08753. Lunch and refreshments will be served. The family ask that you wear your favorite sports or Hawaiian colors to honor Arthur Carlson.
