Adele Victoria Keegan

Adele Victoria Keegan 80, of Greenacres, passed peacefully away on January 15, 2023 after a well fought battle with Alzheimer’s and Emphysema.
 
Adele was born October 29, 1942 to Louis and May DiCarluccio in the Bronx, NY.  Remembered as a happy-go-lucky child, with a smile that lit up any room she entered, she attended private catholic schools in the Morris Park area, and later went on to attend Pace University in Manhattan on a full academic scholarship. Her career in business, was highlighted by her time working in administration for Einstein Hospital, and for many years after as Director of Welfare and Pensions for the Teamsters Union.
 
In 1964, she married William Keegan, in a Catholic ceremony, and they went on to have 2 children, Chris and Billy Keegan. Though she enjoyed working, her priority was raising and caring for her young boys. 
 
In the early 80’s, she met John Alex, the man who would complete her life. They fell in love, and together they eventually moved to South Florida and began their retirement in the sun.  In Fall of 2011, Adele and John officially tied the knot, and became husband and wife in an unforgettable sunset wedding ceremony at Frenchman’s Reserve CC.  He loved and tenderly cared for her till her last breath.
 
But of all the roles she had in life, even greater than Mother and Wife, she adored being a Grandma, to her granddaughter Kierra… the love of her life, and the never ending joy in her heart. 
 
Gathering will be held at Tillman Funeral Home - 2170 S Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33415 on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  An Entombment Funeral Service will be scheduled at the Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/donate an organization that Adele and the family feel strongly about, as no child is ever turned away.
