Ellen Ruth Whitaker

Ellen Ruth Whitaker, age 91, of Atlantis, Florida passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. Ellen was born to parents, Russell & Elizabeth Shugart on March 10, 1927 in Yadkinville, North Carolina. She was predeceased by husband, Robert J. Whitaker; daughter, Linda Illsley; sister, Mary Elizabeth Cain; niece, Libby Ann Siezomore. She will be lovingly remembered by her granddaughter, Heather L. Illsley; sister-in-law, Wanda Varnadore; brothers-in-law, Eugene Whitaker and Larry Whitaker; nieces, Sandra Leigh Craver and Martha Sue Stout.

The Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Lantana, 1126 W. Lantana Road, Lantana, Florida 33462 followed by a  funeral service officiated by Reverend Larry Gritton at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at Boynton Beach Memorial Park, 1611 S. Seacrest Boulevard, Boynton Beach, Florida.
